Frequently asked questions

What is direct pay?

In order to provide the highest level of care and dedicate ample time to each patient, our Practice does not contract or participate with most insurance companies. This approach allows Dr. Doyle to spend the time necessary to thoughtfully and thoroughly address your concerns and deliver personalized care at every visit.

Insurance information

Insurance may be used for certain services such as biopsies/pathology, laboratory testing, and prescriptions. Coverage and reimbursement are determined by your individual plan and benefits, and we recommend verifying details directly with your insurance carrier.
HSA and FSA funds may be used for eligible medical services in accordance with your plan administrator’s guidelines.
If you have out-of-network benefits, we are happy to provide documentation for you to submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Upon request, we can provide you with a coded receipt to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Many insurance plans now have associated HSA (health savings accounts) that you may utilize for payment. Please check with your insurance for details. We cannot predict or guarantee reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company regarding reimbursement rules. By law, Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Supplements, Tricare or other government insurance program beneficiaries cannot submit for reimbursement.

What to bring to your visit

For each visit, patients will need to bring with them their photo ID, insurance card, and a valid credit card.
Payment is due in full at time of services. A credit card on file is required to book. We accept cash, debit cards, VISA, American Express and MasterCard. You may use your HSA and FSA card for medically necessary services but must verify with your insurance company regarding reimbursement.

What to do before your visit

For new patients, please complete all new patient forms prior to arriving for your visit. We also ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time if you have completed all new patient forms and 30 minutes prior to your visit if you have not completed new patient forms.
For all pre-existing patients, please update us on any changes to your address, contact, insurance and/or credit card information.
For any new cosmetic consultations, please discuss with us when scheduling if you would like to do same day treatment and we will do our best to accommodate your request. The cosmetic consultation fee is $350 and this can be applied to any cosmetic treatment performed within 30 days of your consultation.
For procedure specific visits, please make sure you review all pre and post care instructions for your specific procedure prior to your visit. If you have not yet received them, please contact us at care@amandadoylemd.org and we will be happy to send them to you.

Cancellation, missed appointments and late arrivals policy

In order to ensure that we maintain consistent courtesy to all patients, arrivals that are more than 15 minutes late may have a wait and/or be rescheduled.
We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule or cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled time, there is a $150 cancellation fee that is non-refundable. All no-shows will incur a $150 non-refundable cancellation fee.
Cosmetic visits for longer procedures will require a deposit of $500 upon booking. If this is rescheduled or cancelled within 72 hours of the appointment time, the deposit non-refundable and non-transferable.

Return policy

If you purchase a product with us, the product may be eligible for return. Please bring the item back within 14 days of receipt and it must either be unopened/unused and in original packaging. If the item is accepted by the Practice, the refunded amount will be credited to your account and can be used towards future payments to us.
